A vintage style freestanding wood cabinet hand finished in mid-natural wood tones. Two top doors each have 2 clear glazed panes and are fitted with 2 vertical handles, opening to a complementary interior and central shelf. The lower section has no shelves. It is crafted with an integral door edging to conceal the closure gap and 3 discreet swivel latches keeping all doors firmly closed. Raised from the floor, each side has 4 hardwood. Position as a unique decorative feature to showcase items while protecting them from dust. Dust gently with a clean, soft, lint free cloth. Do not use chemical cleaners. Wipe occasionally with a slightly damp (never wet) microfibre cloth. Protect from heated kitchenware.
Our supplier is a small, family owned company specialising in upcycling and recycling furniture from India. They provide skilled employment to 40 workers including skilled carpenters and artisan painters whose skills give furniture a new lease of life. The work is relatively well paid due to it being skilled work and we have visited them on several occasions and found a well organised environment with a happy workforce. Almost all of the wood is recycled and if any new wood is used then it is from sustainable sources such as mango wood. They care passionately about the environment, produce no waste materials and use recycled packaging materials. They support several local charities, including an organisation that teaches blind students, an organisation that supports homeless children and a local project that feeds and looks after homeless animals. Their policies align with the 10 Principles of Fair Trade as set out by the WFTO, THE World Fair Trade Organisation.
