All our wool garments are hand knitted from imported New Zealand Wool. Based in Kathmandu, our supplier is happy to support many of the Artisan knitters with home-working. Many of the workers have family commitments and this arrangement provides welcome flexibility. It also means they can gather in friendly knitting groups and interact socially while producing fabulous knitwear!

Namaste offers two distinct wool colllections. One is created with a chunky yarn while the more expensive variety uses a fine yarn. Fine knit garments are distinguished by more detailed designs and colours. Wool fibre has a host of advantages for the wearer. A wonderful insulator, it also helps regulate body temperature to a comfortable level. The stretchy material is naturally breathable, moisture and UV resistant, and has antimicrobial properties to resist odour. It's easy to keep your wool garment looking it's best by following our simple care instructions. Wool is a fantastic eco-friendly by-product from sheep. Entirely natural, sustainable and biodegradable, wool is a unique renewable textile supported by a cycle of shearing. In addition, it's properties make it popular for recycling and reuse.

The registered charity carries out physical rescues of children in forced labour. All our Nepal goods are labelled as such and we contribute a percentage of all purchases we make from Nepal to Child Rescue Nepal.
