About this product

Green, red, grey and cream varieties of lokta paper Christmas gift bags with matching coloured handles and a gift tag. Gold festive print combines motifs of reindeer, snowflakes, Christmas trees and sprigs of holly. An extra little something for the gift recipient; the bag can be reused several times and is recyclable and biodegradable at the end of its lifespan.

Supplier Information
All the handmade paper products from this supplier were once sourced from the lokta bush. Through a firm relationship with The Body Shop, the company learnt how to reuse and recycle waste materials like cotton rags, waste paper, agriculture waste like banana fibres, straw and water hyacinth. Production is eco friendly and drying is achieved by natural sunlight. Their proactive approach saw them become WFTO members in the late 1980's and a cooperative with all staff welcomed as members later in 2005.
Extra Information
Lokta paper is made from the fibrous inner bark of the bush named Daphne Papyrus, only found growing at an altitude of 6500ft or above in the Himalayas. Every single sheet of paper is handmade with a cupful of lokta pulp.
